Ted Turner

Last week I was lucky enough to attend a Q&A with Ted Turner, a man whom I greatly admire. It was conducted by Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS Shoes.
Here are a few quotes I was able to jot down.

"It's better to own a losing baseball team, than no baseball team at all"-On the Atlanta Braves

"I was a classics major, I couldn't read the balance sheets, I had three financial officers, one had a heart attack in my office".

"I lost eight billion dollars in a year, I'm not one to jump out of windows, but I had plenty of reasons to".- Time Warner merger

"The situation could look hopeless, but you could be wrong".

He also mentioned a "sequel" to "Call Me Ted" is in the works, which I'm pretty excited about.
