Crazy Heart

I just saw this move and while I cannot stand the sight of Maggie Gyllenhaal and Colin Farrell can't act for shit, I really enjoyed the movie. The performances by Jeff Bridges and Robert Duvall were excellent. There is also a guest appearance for Ryan Bingham, who is an awesome rising country singer, who won a Golden Globe for his involvement with the soundtrack. Jeff Bridge's character Otis "Bad" Blake portrayed the Texas side of country music perfectly and I could see some Robert Earl Keen in him. The soundtrack is top notch also. I recommend seeing this movie if you get a chance.

Fleeces

Fleeces are the most versatile apparel in any closet, warm enough for those cold winter nights but also comfortable enough to protect you from that cutting beach breeze. The two fleeces I could not live without are:

Patagonia Synchilla- A classic.

Orvis leather-trimmed pullover- I've found Orvis quality can be hit or miss but this fleece has served me well.

Classic Guidos

Due to MTV's Jersey Shore, Guidos and Guidettes have never been more amusing, but let us not forget the original Guido mockeries.

My Blue Heaven starring Steve Martin is a hilarious portrayal of a New York guido, transplanted to San Diego due to his participation in the Witness Protection Program. Hilarity ensues.

My Cousin Vinny: This movie has become a Thanksgiving tradition for my family. It somehow always manages to be played towards the end of Thanksgiving night, after everyone is overfed and overserved. It features Joe Pesci as a bootleg lawyer, who is forced to defend his cousin in a small Alabama county court. As a bonus it includes the lovely Marisa Tomei.
