Volunteer Traditions Hats

I'm pleased to discover the addition of state hats to Volunteer Tradition's apparel line. The hat's quality looks phenomenal, which is no surprise, given Volunteer Tradition's reputation and motto "Where State Pride Meets Quality".
The majority of southern states are represented, and I just might have to show some Mississippi pride, as one can never have to many hats, regardless of what the spouse might say.

Ted Turner

Last week I was lucky enough to attend a Q&A with Ted Turner, a man whom I greatly admire. It was conducted by Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS Shoes.
Here are a few quotes I was able to jot down.

He also mentioned a "sequel" to "Call Me Ted" is in the works, which I'm pretty excited about.

I can't put this live DBT album down. Recorded during Austin City Limits 2008. It's the perfect compilation of the Drive-by Truckers- somber at times, three axe attack when necessary.

Swimwear- It's about that time.

With the summer upon us, here are some swimwear suggestions.


The North Face Class V Trunk- 6" inseam, belted and versatile. I find myself wearing these to the gym, around town, the pool and the boat.



Patagonia Baggies-7" inseam, generous cut.

I'm also a big fan of 80's bright neon trunks, as found on ebay or patiently waiting to be discovered, forgotten, at the lake or beach house.
